AFL Brisbane Juniors is providing free volunteer training for Ground Marshalls to improve match day environments at our football clubs. The training is part of a pilot program established in answer to demands from club president, calling for greater education and support for volunteer Ground Marshalls.
As the most important off field role on match day, the Ground Marshall is a simple role, however critical to ensuring a positive environment for our children and families.
Throughout the training, we will cover:
- All the essential information and skills – with AFLBJ league officials on hand for accurate information
- Practical skill development for the role
- All delivered within a relaxed, friendly environment
Clubs may choose from two venues:
- Tuesday 8th May 2012 – Yeronga, Cansdale Street, Yeronga (level one AFL Queensland headquarters)
- Wednesday 9th May 2012 – Pine Rivers AFC, Bells Pocket Road, Strathpine
Both sessions are 6.30pm – 7.40pm.
To attend the training, please speak with your club committee to nominate your interest. Clubs can RSVP their volunteers by Tuesday 1st May by contacting Aaron Hall ahall@aflq.com.au.
Due to venue limitations, each club can provide a maximum of 5 volunteers.
