Congratulations to Nicholas Cream on playing his 100th club game for the Logan Cobras JAFC.
Nick began playing for the Cobras in the under 9âs in 2002 and came to the club with already well-developed skills. Through under 10âs and under 11âs it was clear Nick had a âfooty brainâ, being able read the play and generally make the right decisions with the football, he quietly and efficiently accumulated possessions. Nick played a key part in the midfield for his under 12âs team that went on to premiership success in 2005. Then in 2006 he played as a smart, opportunistic forward in the under 14âs, kicking the goal that sealed his team another premiership.
This season Nick has slotted into the under 16âs team as an attacking half back who uses the ball effectively without fuss or fanfare.
He also continues a family tradition at the club with elder brothers Ben (140 games) and Daniel (159 games) previously reaching the 100 club game milestone.
Well done to a proud and loyal Cobra.
Congratulations to 2008 Logan Cobras JAFC club captain Zac Locke on reaching the 150 game milestone.
Zac first played with the Cobras in the under 8âs in 2000 and played with plenty of energy and spirit from day one. By the time he played his 100th game Zac demonstrated he was a natural leader and his on-field leadership skills were a major factor in his under 14âs team achieving premiership success in 2006.
On the field Zac is a crucial member of the under 16âs team in 2008 but also was appointed as Club Captain due to his off field conduct. Zac is always prepared to help the club and committee and demonstrates all of the qualities required to be a fine representative of the Junior club and a good example for all players.
Zac has also added to his skills set by becoming an umpire, having moved into the league ranks this year after a couple of seasons as a club umpire for the Cobras.
Excellent work Zac, you can be proud of your achievements. We all look forward to many more games from you in the Cobras colours.
