Kevin Sheedy headlines a host of highly credentialed coaches presenting at the Level 2 AFL Coaching Course run by AFL Queensland on Saturday the 14th and Sunday the 15th of November.
Sheedy will present two sessions on the first day of the course and will provide a wonderful insight on current coaching initiatives and what it takes to be a successful coach at any level of the game . He will also share his philosophy on coaching and entertain those that attend with his many stories after coaching the Essendon Football Club at the elite level for 27 years.
Other presenters confirmed at present include Dr. Brian Douge (91 games and a 1976 Premiership player with Hawthorn under the great John Kennedy and a PHD in Sports Coaching) and AFL Queensland State Talent Manager Mark Browning (251 games with the Sydney Swans, 1983 B & F, Captain 1984 â 85, Victorian Representative and inaugural inductee into the Sydney Swans Hall of Fall in 2009).
To be eligible for the course, coaches must have held a current level 1 youth / senior accreditation and coached for the last 2 years. Please note that this will be the only Level 2 course offered in Queensland in the coming year.
