The Southern Football League embarks on its first round of Netball this weekend. In a concept that has been whole-heartedly embraced by the clubs involved, teams have been working hard on-court at training, as well as off the court with recruitment and fund raising.
It is a credit to the clubs involved who have made it to this point. Whilst the concept has always garnered support from SFL clubs, it is six bold clubs that have acted on that interest, taken that step and put the work in. The League particularly wishes to acknowledge and thank some of the drivers of these teams – Melissa at Dingley, Rebecca at East Brighton, Steve and Jaime at Heatherton, Eliza and Caitlin at St Pauls, Garry and team at Bentleigh, Greg and team at Clayton, as well as the countless others who have helped behind the scenes to build these teams – your efforts should be applauded and are very much appreciated.
To all teams competing this season, the League, in conjunction with the SDNA, offers its full support and will continue to work and assist in any way throughout the season.
Please find below:
- The proposed fixture (NB – it is proposed only as we await confirmation on one team, and also openly encourage any team with 14 or more players to consider entering a second team).
- The SFL Netball Competition Guidelines.
- Another copy of the entry form for teams with changes to their initial entry form (important for this to be up to date by the weekend for future finals eligibility).
