CICA General Manager Alister Stevic said he is impressed by the dedication and professionalism of the squads approach to training. “Three players especially have improved significantly throughout the course of the HP Programme and had pushed hard for selection”, Stevic is speaking specifically of Thomas Teinaki, Teararo Taraia and Lucky Topetai who are three of the latest debutants who will gain their first International cap while in Samoa. “CICA’s confident the players selected will produce the goods in Samoa, we have a great blend of experience, youth and the side is well balanced in terms of batting and bowling”. Vice President Oliver Syme said he had noticed a buzz amongst the players and the cricketing fraternity as they feel the national team can achieve victory at the tournament “preparations are going well, the players are fit, in form and have that belief”.
