Fencing Victoria wishes to invite young fencers from around Australia and New Zealand to take part in our annual Joseph D’Onofrio Challenge. This foil, epee and sabre event has been especially established as a friendly interstate competition for the U14, U12 and U10 age groups to complement the ACT Tri-States competition and the NSW Koala Challenge.
Date: Saturday & Sunday, 17-18th August 2018
Entry Fee: $30.00 for the 2 days, including up to 2 individual competition entries, the teams event and a free sausage.

*All teams will be comprised of mixed fencers from different states, age groups and genders, in the most equitable format possible according to numbers available.
Weapon sizes:
U10 and U12 fencers: Size 0-3 ALL weapons
U14 fencers: Size 0-5 ALL weapons
Equipment:
U12 and U10 fencers
Minimum: 350N W fencing jacket, 350N W under plastron, glove, mask, breeches
(long/full length track suit pants will be accepted) and long socks.
Chest protectors must be worn by girls in all weapons.
Chest protectors must be worn by boys doing epee.
U14 fencers
Minimum: 350N W fencing jacket, 350N under plastron, glove, mask, fencing
breeches (800 NW or 350NW) and long socks.
Chest protectors must be worn by girls in all weapons.
Chest protectors must be worn by boys doing epee.
* Please note these are the minimum requirements, fencers may choose to wear 800N garments if they wish.
** Electric bib masks will not be mandatory in any age group, although fencers may choose to use them.
Food and Drink
All participants are welcome to bring their own food and drink, however Fencing Victoria does run a canteen for your convenience and our fencing community will also put on a sausage sizzle.
