Fencing Victoria would like to extend a cordial invitation to all fencers, club members, friends, and relatives to the 2008 Awards Night Dinner.
Date: Friday, 14th of March
Time: 6:30 to 11:30 pm.
Venue: Malvern Banquet Hall (Corner of Glenferrie Road and High Street, Malvern)
Cost: Adults - $70, High School Kids - $50, Primary School Kids - $35
Finger food will be served on arrival, followed by main course and dessert. Beer, wine and soft drink is included.
During the evening, a number of awards will be presented, including the Young Blood and Caliburn Awards. There will also be grudge matches (see below).
RSVP by 5th March to fencing.dinner@genski.com (Vegetarians please advise).
The theme is RED, please dress accordingly.
Grudge match rules:
- A grudge match may be fought in any weapon, any class, any age.
- A grudge is intended to answer the "what if there was a second chance?" question. It is also designed to restore a fencer's honour which may have been slighted.
- Fencers may declare their own grudge opponent, or suggest a grudge match that they would like to see.
- The grudge can go back to last week, last season, last century, or anywhere in between.
- Grudge match nominations should be emailed to president@fencingvictoria.org or fencing.dinner@genski.com.
- Grudge challengees refuse a challenge at their own peril - there will be consequences...
