VicHealth’s latest round of Active Club Grants are closing on Friday 23 September.
This year, they are looking to fund clubs across two outcome areas:
- Outcome area 1: Female participation: VicHealth will support clubs to implement new sport participation opportunities specifically for women and girls. Funding is available for clubs to establish new teams, programs or competitions specifically for female audiences.
- Outcome area 2: Participation in social and modified forms of sport: VicHealth will support social or modified sport program which will attract more people to be regularly physically active. Funding is available for the start-up costs for clubs to establish a social or modified sport program.

Key Grant details
- Eligible clubs can apply to strengthen or expand programs that have been recently established (formed from 1 January 2015 onwards) relevant to the Outcome Areas.
- Two tiers of funding are available - up to $3,000 or up to $10,000 (limited to 10 grants per round) - available to community sports clubs across Victoria.
- Clubs can read the guidelines and apply online at www.vichealth.vic.gov.au/activeclub.
- Applications close on 23 September 2016.
- Clubs that have been successful in the past two years that can demonstrate disadvantage and hardship due to flood, drought, bushfires or other natural disasters will be exempt from the two-year ineligibility period outlined in the Terms and Conditions.
