The 2013 U15/U17 National Championships will be held from the 6th - 10th July in Marrickville, Sydney (click here). The timetable of events can be found on the AFF Website (click here)
To nominate for entry, click on the Register Here button on the right hand side of this web page. All fencers are required to have a 2013 full affiliation with Fencing Victoria. Nominations will be accepted from any eligible competitor who does not have a debt outstanding to Fencing Victoria.
Eligibility
Fencers must have competed in the U15/U17 State Tournament on the 16th -17th March and the State Championships on the 18th -19th May. Fencers must also have attended the Information session on the 1st June. See the Fencing Victoria Selection policy, U15-17-20 Touring Teams (click here) The policy also covers exemptions and appeals, how to apply for them, and when they must be received by.
Nominations for entry have been extended to Sunday 16th June. After this date they will be "late entries", and will attract additional cost. Late Entries close 9.00pm Wednesday 19th June.
All nominated competitors will be eligible to be selected to represent Victoria in the team events. There will be team events for all weapons (both men and women). The team selection process is found under the Juniors part of this web site (click here).
The costs for this event are as follows:
Nomination for entry
(per event for the first 2 events): $125 each ($195 each for Late Entry)
3rd Weapon Entry - $75 ($145 for Late Entry)
(The entry fees covers the costs that the AFF are charging for referees per event entry - this cost does not apply for a third weapon, hence the lower price for a third weapon entry)
Late Entry - Any entries received after 9.00pm Sunday 16th June will be deemed Late Entries and will attract the extra fee. Late Entries close 9.00pm Wednesday 19th June.
Team management fee (per competitor): $160
Fencing Victoria has appointed a Team Coach, Assistant Team Coach and Team Manager.
Additional Information
This is a National competition constituted by State teams (i.e. not Club teams). Fencers are there to represent their State, not themselves, or their club. Parents, club coaches and officials are most welcome, but have no official capacity at National Events, and the Australian Fencing Federation will not directly communicate with them.
Note that conductive bibs are required for all National foil competitions. There will be a limited selection of gear will be available for purchase at the venue.
