Congratulations to all girls who competed at Rivermount College on Saturday 14th October. A total of 1,026 girls raced for their schools in the 28th Annual QGSSSA Cross Country meet, with some wonderful performances in the warm conditions.
A new record was set by Brisbane State High's Katrina Robinson in the 16 Years race, running the fastest 3km time recorded at a QG Cross Country meet for any age group. Her sizzling 9:33 broke the previous record set by St Margaret's Olivia Burdon of 9:54 in the 17 Years & Over age group in 2015.
Other records broken saw State High's Keira Moore take half a minute off the previous 12 Years & Under mark, coming in at 10:43, while Lucinda Crouch from St Margaret's ran the second fastest 16 Years time of all time, finishing 25 seconds behind Katrina Robinson.
