Sturt's men complete double

Perhaps missing Rhys Carter this game would have been a bit of a disappointment for the North men against the more lowly placed Sabres, going down by 14 points.

Jewel in the Sturt crown was Jacob Holmes, who almost got a rare “triple double” – 22 points, 20 rebounds and 9 assists.  He had some great support from John Marriott and Jan Warbout, who like Jacob Holmes, played in Under 14 Nationals sides – albeit a few years apart.

Matt Lycett continues to impress and held the North team together with a “double double” while Tom Rowe played a good captain’s game despite his ocular disability from a periorbital hematoma.

The final score was probably flattering as Sturt were in control for the best part of the game, with only glimpses of North’s top form.
