Round 9 Women's Player of the Week
The Women’s player of the week for round 9 of the 2008 Central ABL is Forestville’s Mia Newley.
Newley had 28 points at 47%, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks against South, helping Forestville to sneak into the top 5 at the season half-way point.
Other solid performances came from Woodville’s Jodie Barratt, who had 25 points and 19 rebounds against Centrals, the Lions’ Gail Sevallos, who had 14 points, 16 rebounds and 6 blocks in the same game, Hannah Bowley, who had 21 points and 12 rebounds in Sturt’s victory over league-leaders North, and Norwood’s Nicole Romeo who led all scorers for the round with 30.
