It was apparent in the very first quarter that the Warriors were going to give the Bearcats a run for their money. The play from the Warriors was phenomenal. The Bearcats only squeezed in a few points as the Warriors were on absolute fire and barely gave the Bearcats a chance to touch the ball. There was quite a difference with the score but Bearcats fans had faith because there was still another three quarters to go.

In the second quarter, the Bearcats came back firing. It was like watching a totally different team come on and play. Within a flash, by half time, there was only a one point difference, with the score being 35-36. From then onwards it was an extremely close game. The game itself was very long, the duration being 2 hours, with all up a cumulative amount of 19 fouls for the Bearcats and 18 for the Warriors. Each team had their shot at holding the lead, there being a three point difference at three quarter time, 49-52.

The Bearcats absolutely dominated in the last quarter and at that point it was obvious the game was theirs. With the crowd going wild, the adrenaline rushing fast through the players, and the coaches being so enthused, it was an extremely entertaining game to watch. Bearcats won at home, 78-71.

For the Bearcats, Sky Langenbrinck and Ashlea Vordermaier were the star players, with Langenbrinck scoring a total of 17 points and Vordermaier scoring a whopping 29 points! For the Warriors, Katherine Perkas, Kimberley Porplycia and Jessica Von Einem were the players that really stood out. Perkas got a total of 14 points, Polplycia a total of 13 and Von Einem a total of 16.
