Eagles Women Victorious Over the Warriors

The Forestville women were 11 point winners over the Woodville Warriors in a close game at Wayville.

The game was tight early but four three pointers in a row to the Eagles gave them a 12 point lead at quarter time. The Eagles had another strong quarter but the Warriors didn’t let them get too far ahead. Forestville’s lead of 17 points set them up for the rest of the game, despite the Warriors threatening a comeback.

In the third term the Warriors outscored the Eagles by four points and then by two in the final term. The Eagles retained the lead thanks to some good work early in the game and were 11 point winners.

Olivia Thompson had an excellent first quarter, scoring six points, three rebounds and a steal. She ended her night with a total of 18 points, along with a game high of 15 rebounds.

Tara Robinson was an important part of the Forestville line, scoring two of the four first quarter threes. Robinson had 18 points to her name, along with six rebounds, two assists and a steal.

The highest scorer for the Warriors was Katherine Perkas with 20 points. She was one of the best for Woodville and she also had nine rebounds, five steals and four assists.

Both Jess Fergus and Megan Kermond were high scorers for the Eagles, with 11 and 13 points respectively. Fergus also had seven rebounds, six assists and a steal. Kermond also had three assists and a rebound.

Jessica Koch played well for the Warriors, scoring 11 points, along with three steals and two assists, while Tess Keenan scores 15 points and had three assists.

Forestville will face the unbeaten Norwood Flames in the last round before finals, while the Warriors will play the Southern Tigers.
