Leaders Toppled

After a brief celebration at the half-way point of the season, league leaders Sturt women and Norwood men both lost games in round 10 of the Central ABL.

In the women's game, Norwood overcame a 17-4 deficit in the first quarter to gain the lead for the first time with 3.5 minutes to go in the game, before pulling away to a 10 point victory. The Sabres retain top position on the ladder, but are now only a game clear of West Adelaide.

In the men's game of the week, Sturt took an extra stanza to edge ahead of Norwood by a point, helped by 35 points from reigning Woollacott medallist Darren Ng.  With it's third 50 point win in succession, Forestville moved to the top of the men's ladder, but on the same win-loss ratio as Norwood.
