WOMEN

Southern Tigers (3-1) v West Adelaide Bearcats (1-3)

In the Match of the Round, the Bearcats will be trying to get their season moving in the right direction, when they visit the Tigers at Morphett Vale.

On ANZAC Day, the Bearcats failed to reach a half century in team points, losing the Sturt by nine. The Bearcats recovered from a poor start to 2016 to reach the Grand Final, so they should have faith that lightning can strike twice.

The Tigers are rolling with three on the bounce, following their 83-67 success against Woodville. Alex Green provided 14 points, and was awarded the Spirit Medal.

This is the first meeting between these sides since the last season’s Preliminary Final. As was the case in the Qualifying Final, the Bearcats were too strong for the Tigers. However, the Tigers won both regular season meetings.

The Mavericks will attempt to bounce back from their first loss of the season, when they welcome the Sabres to Adelaide Hills.

On ANZAC Day, the Mavericks were badly beaten by North, with Alex Wilson held to a season-low 14 points.

Despite scoring just three points in the fourth period, the Sabres held on to beat West 57-48. Jordan Hunter (18 points) was awarded the Spirit Medal.

Central District Lions (0-4) v North Adelaide Rockets (3-1)

The Rockets have a great chance to make it four wins on the trot, when they go up against the winless Lions at Starplex.

On ANZAC Day, the Rockets became the first side to knock off Eastern, sitting in the right side of an 83-50 scoreline. Jo Hill scored 17 points and earned the Spirit Medal.
