Messenger Round 1 Review

Shane Boal

THE Southern Tigers cruised away to a 102-84 win against Central on Sunday at Starplex to kick off a promising season.

A close contest for most of the afternoon, the Tigers pulled away in the fourth quarter on the back of Brad Bungey and Michael Florance and a four-quarter effort from Shane Boal.

US Import John Morris started his Tiger career soundly, showing capabilities of a handful of 30-point games this season. He had 19 points and 12 rebounds.

Central’s Canadian recruit Oliver Prince had his hands full with Bungey, and was made to work hard for each of his 11 points and seven rebounds.
