Referee Coach Appointments

Basketball SA is pleased to announce appointments to Referee Coach positions for the junior district, senior district and Central ABL competitions.

The role of the referee coach is to provide formal and informal feedback on the game-day performance of referees. This feedback will assist in the development of referees as well as providing input to the appointments to finals and national championships.

There were many impressive applicants for these positions and it is refreshing that experienced referees and referee coaches are willing to put time into referee development. The list of appointments includes 11 people with national league experience (8 as referees and 3 as referee coaches) as well as people actively involved in referee development for SA Country and SA Church.
