Blitz
The State League 2008 pre-season Blitz will be held in Gawler at STARplex on Saturday 1st March 2008.
Tip off will commence at 9.00 am with finals commencing at 3.00 pm.

The Blitz offers a fast paced style of basketball with all games having 15 minute fully timed halves.
Competing teams in the men's draw are:
- Central Districts Lions
- North Adelaide Rockets (2007 season premiers)
- Sturt Sabres
- Woodville Warriors (two teams)
- Forestville Eagles
Women's teams competing are: -
- Central Districts Lions
- Woodville Warriors (two teams)
- South Adelaide Panthers
The tournament showcases the senior men's and women's teams from South Australian clubs competing in the 2008 State League.
Prize money for the winning men's and women's side has been made available by Blitz sponsor, Bramolco.
Grahame Mansfield, Chairman of the organising committee says "The Blitz is a great spectator event and a rare chance to see the top District basketball teams from South Australia competing at the one time".
Spectator Entry is $5.00 and children in basketball club uniform can enter free.
The Blitz provides a curtain raiser to the 2008 Central Australian Basketball League season which commences on Saturday March 15th, 2008.
