Round 15 Preview - WOMEN

Norwood Flames (13-1, 1st) v Central District Lions (0-14, 10th)

The Flames have an excellent chance to make it 14 wins from 15 games when they host the winless Lions at Mars.

The Flames snuck past North 65-59 last week, increasing their lead at the top to three games.

The Lions came so close to a breakthrough victory last round falling 71-73 against Eastern.

Last time they met, the Flames demolished the Lions 115-45.

Woodville Warriors (6-8, 7th) v West Adelaide Bearcats (9-5, 5th)

The Bearcats can just about end the Warriors’ remote finals hopes if they can succeed at St Clair.

The seventh placed Warriors lost 52-60 to Sturt last week. They are now three games and percentage back from the fifth seeded Bearcats.

The Bearcats have won their last five, including a 75-57 triumph against South last round.

Last time they met, the Bearcats overcame the Warriors 76-62.

Sturt Sabres (8-6, 6th) v Eastern Mavericks (3-11, 8th)

A win over the Mavericks at Pasadena may not be enough for the Sabres to get back into the top five at the end of Round 15.

Despite getting up over Woodville last week, the Sabres are still a game and percentage outside the top five.

The Mavericks have registered just three victories, one of which came against Centrals last week.

Last time they met, the Sabres thrashed the Mavericks 82-50.

Forestville Eagles (10-4, 4th) v North Adelaide Rockets (10-4, 3rd)

In the match of the round, the Eagles and Rockets will face off at Wayville in a fixture that could go a long way to deciding the top three.

The Eagles suffered a major setback last week, going down 51-68 to Southern. The loss saw them fall out of the top three.

The Rockets were also beaten last round with Norwood the culprit. The Rockets have slipped from second to third. The Tigers, Rockets and Eagles are locked on 10 wins.

Last time they met, the Rockets pipped the Eagles 82-74 in overtime.

Southern Tigers (10-4, 2nd) v South Adelaide Panthers (1-13, 9th)

The Tigers have an excellent chance to pick up their 11th win when they welcome the Panthers to Morphett Vale.

The Tigers were too good for Forestville last week, moving up to second spot as a result. With the Eagles facing North, the Tigers have the chance to gain a little breathing space in their bid for a double chance.

The Panthers continue to languish on one win following their loss to West last round.

Last time they met, the Tigers knocked off the Panthers 80-54.
