Sapphires Worlds Team Announced
Basketball Australia is pleased to announce the athletes selected to represent the 2007 Australian Sapphires Under 21 women's basketball team.
The Sapphires depart Sydney this Friday bound for China, where they will play practice games to prepare for the 2007 FIBA World Championship for Under 21 women.
The team will return to Australia on May 26 and head into camp on the Gold Coast in mid June.
There they will play four games against the 2007 defencejobs Opals squad, on June 16, 17, 18 and 19 at The Southport School in Southport.
On June 20 they will depart Sydney bound for Madrid to contest a four nation pre-World Championship tournament against teams from Spain, Brazil and China.
The 2007 FIBA World Championship for Under 21 women is set to take place in Moscow, Russia from June 29 to July 8.
