Men's Reviews - Round 4

Cam Wilson

Central Districts Lions 101 (J. Graves 32, M. Atkins 28, J. Clayton 19)
Southern Tigers 94 (D. Lalic 32, M. Clarke 17, T. Braithwaite 12)

Centrals' games this season have been high scoring, and this was no exception, with almost 60 points scored in the first quarter. The Lions set up a 7 point half time lead, then held on to win by an identical margin. Justin Clayton and Mark Egel had double figure rebounds, while Matt Clarke had 7 assists.

Sturt Sabres 101 (M. Ng 25, D. Ng 25, J. Dodman 15)
Eastern Maverick 82 (S. Breheny 24, J. Watson 13, B. Dearman 12)

Shane Breheny has had a great start to the season, and performed well against his former club, but it was Sturt who raced away to an 11 point lead at 1/4 time, before extending it to 19 at half time, which was also the final margin. Stephen Williams helped get team mates involved, his 7 assists a highlight, but Marcus and Darren Ng had 5 and 6 of their own.

Woodville Warriors 107 (C. Wilson 27, G. Birmingham 23, L. Mapunda 22)
South Adelaide Panthers 81 (A. Machar 20, K. Carter 19, S. Pilkington 13)

South were keen to replicate their best effort against Forestville two weeks ago, but Woodville started stronger, with a 19 point lead at half time. South were unable to make any headway over the next two quarters, despite a double double from Agel Machar. Cam Wilson had another great game, with 9 rebounds and 7 assists.

Norwood Flames 90 (T. Matthews 17, D. Thompson 14, K. Krause 13)
West Adelaide Bearcats 72 (D. Phillips 13, B. Truslove 13, C. Molitor 9)

Both teams started aggressively, but Norwood struggled to contain Norwood's height, with David Cooper and Dan Thompson scoring early. The Flames led by 16 at 1/4 time, and West were unable to recover, despite the efforts of Danny Phillips and Blake Truslove. Todd Matthews was dominant, albeit in the absence of Brendan Mann.

North Adelaide Rockets 103 (D. Rychart 25, M. Zorich 15, B. Groves 13)
Forestville Eagles 80 (B. Sullivan 21, K. Oakley 20, M. Sutton 11)

The teams were evenly matched early, and 10 first quarter points from Wayne Haydon kept Forestville in the game. A 10 point run from North triggered by quick ball movement from Ryan Kersten broke the game open, and despite a late Forestville response on the back of some three point shooting from Brad Sullivan, North cruised to victory.
