North recovered from a nail-biting loss the night before to win comfortably against Eastern. The Mavs, coached by former Rocket Brenton Johnston, had good productivity from Jamie Fricker, whose 17 points came at 55%, and 17 year old Lauren Mansfield led the scoring for the Rockets, her 17 points including two three pointers. Jane Symons and Jamie-Lee Peris both had double doubles.

Keen to maintain their unbeaten record while awaiting the return of Pasadena, Sturt were quick out of the blocks, and led by 13 at quarter time. The Sabres maintained this lead at half time, but an 18-6 third quarter allowed the Tigers to get back within 3 at 3/4 time, before Sturt steadied in the fourth to win by 5. Caroline Nixon had 6 assists and 7 rebounds to go with her 14 points, and Leah Cannon had 8 assists for the second time in the weekend.

South's 25 point first quarter set up a match-winning lead against the young Norwood team, helped by 6 points in a row from Kerrin Truslove. Norwood played some full court defence to change the pace of the game, and this slowed South's scoring rate, but the Flames were unable to score themselves, as evidenced by an 11-13 third quarter. Emily Fryters battled hard and finished with 10 rebounds. For South, Truslove had 13 rebounds, and Vikki Kelson had 9 rebounds.
