North Adelaide Rockets (91) defeated Eastern Mavericks (63)
The Rockets have bought some breathing space with this weekend's win over the Eastern Mavericks. In the chase to catch Norwood at the top of the ladder, they are now a game clear with 5 wins for 2014 and everyone else in the top 5 on 4 wins except the undefeated Flames.
The Rockets played a consistent four quarters, sharing the workload and methodically extending their lead in each stanza. The Mavs finished strong and played the best quarter of the night in the fourth scoring 25 points, proving they have heart and fight, but the Rockets had the match sewn up early on and finished 28 points in front.
North Adelaide's Jess Smart was the game's top scorer with 24 points while Jamie-Lee Peris made a double double with 15 points and 14 rebounds.
Georgia Green stood out for Eastern with her own double double scoring 14 points, and making 10 rebounds.
