Norwood Flames (76) lost to North Adelaide Rockets (83)

The North Adelaide Rockets have found their flow with a strong all round effort delivering them a win over the Flames on Saturday.

The Rockets always play a tough game off the boards but this round the Norwood Flames took it to them with some feisty contests on the boards. Shooting accuracy became critical as both sides put the pressure on defensively. Although the Flames had more opportunity the Rockets shot at 44% accuracy while the Flames sunk 29% of their shots.

The Rockets have had a bumpy start to the season but are starting to gel well on court displaying strong connectivity and sharing the workload and court time amongst the group. 

Quarter by quarter, the Rockets methodically built their lead up to 15 points as they headed in to the final period, however the Flames wouldn't die. Instead they rallied with their strongest quarter of the night scoring 30 points for the period. The Rockets held steady though and despite giving up some pesky fouls, kept the pressure on in the key and came away with a modest 7 point win after a tough fight.

John Wernham had a double - double for the Rockets with 14 points and 10 rebounds and so did Pero Vasiljevic with 11 rebounds and 14 points. Daniel Goodluck had a cracker of a night delivering a team high 20 points and 4 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals.

Norwood's Matthew Lycett led his team and the game in scoring (23 points) and rebounds (12). Team mates Daniel Webber and Jack Jennings also made an impact with 13 and 11 points respectively.
