West Adelaide Bearcats (95) defeated Eastern Mavericks (74)
West Adelaide flexed their muscle over the Mavericks in their first game of the year affording the Bearcats a comfortable win over Eastern 95-74.
Wests scoring trinity of Braithwaite, Spadavechia and Truslove was working in harmony with a superb team effort supporting them as evident in the stats, West had, 41 rebounds, 14 assists and 8 steals.
The freshest team on court this year in the Mavs had a good run considering the amount of new personnel on the bench. Eastern managed more turnover than the Bearcats but just didn't seem to be able to convert it into a score consistently.
