Volunteer Media Officers

Basketball SA is seeking the services of multiple Volunteer Media Officers to assist in the coverage of the 2013 Central ABL.

The role of a Volunteer Media Officer would include a subset of the following:

  • Writing game reviews
  • Writing articles relating to player/coach signings, awards, milestones and other items of interest, for the Central ABL website, game day program, and other Basketball SA publications
  • Interviewing coaches and players
  • Taking action photographs at games

Media officers report to the Basketball SA Competitions Manager and liaise with the Central ABL Media Coordinator.

Successful applicants would be required to work on weekends across the course of the season, particularly on Saturday nights when most Central ABL games are scheduled.

These roles would suit people studying journalism/photography, or those with experience or qualifications in journalism/photography, though these are not prerequisites.

Please submit applications via the contact details below, and include any relevant experience and qualifications.

Applications close at 5pm Friday March 22, 2013.
