Foley wins Halls Medal

The 2011 Halls medal for the best and fairest player in the Central ABL Women's competition, has been won by Norwood's Jess Foley.

The Halls medal is determined by 3-2-1 votes from referees through the season. Foley won the award with 35 votes, 2 clear of Central Districts' Jess Mahony on 33. 

Foley received eight first preference votes, three second preferences and five third. She received three votes in the last game of the season to clinch the medal, in one of the tightest counts ever.

Mahony won the Most Valuable Player award, which is voted on by Coaches, Captains and Club Delegates.
