Brine, Lycett lead North men to win over Southern
In the reverse round where the men played first, the Tigers pounced on the Rockets to lead 31 to 19 at quarter time led by Marcus Robinson and Michael Florence.
Florence got into early foul trouble which allowed the young Rockets to limit the Tigers to just 8 points in the second quarter and 7 in the third, whilst they scored freely with 25 and 19 in those quarters. Brett Collins, Rhys Elliot and Brandon Brine were the guns trained on the Tigers.
In the last quarter, the Rockets surged with a massive 30 points and administered the final shot by over-powering the Tigers 30 points to 12.
Main contributors for the Rockets was Brandon Brine with 16 points and 9 rebounds, whilst the very quiet, but very consistent Matt Lycett grabbed 11 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists.
The Tigers relied on Marcus Robinson, who scored 18 points and got 7 rebounds. In limited time, Hugh Pinkard chipped in with 8 points.
The Rockets, too powerful against the Tigers.
