West Men too tall and strong for gallant Rockets

The brawny Bearcats came to play against the Rockets on Saturday night in a game where the tall-boys from West were too good against the North side devoid of big, bulky players.

The physical approach from West didn’t deter the Rockets, who still won two quarters, but it was not enough to beat the Bearcats.

The Bearcats’ David Nurse fired up early and set the pace, figuring in both the rebound and assists statistics.  Ben Evans was the game high scorer with twenty points.

Ryan Franceschinis was welcomed back to the Rockets and topped the score-table for them with 13 points and eleven rebounds with those big long arms.

In the end, free-throws hurt them, they had 21 less free-throws than West, and could only get 43% compared to West’s 63% - therein lies a lesson.
