Sturt and Forestville have featured in some great battles in recent years. In 2009, Forestville won their first clash in May by a point at Wayville, then by 13 on a Sunday in July at Pasadena in a game in which Angela Marino received close attention from Jess Mahony and Dee Ranford. Sturt turned the tables in the 2nd semi final but had a down game in the Grand Final, allowing Forestville to take victory by 25.

In 2010, both teams have raced away to 5 and 0 starts. Forestville have done it with much the same group as 2009 and in general, have done it in style, with an average winning margin of 23. In their only real test against West Adelaide, the Eagles were the beneficiary of a 3rd quarter ankle injury to Halls medalist Kerrin Webber, and the game against Sturt will be their first real chance to assert themselves as premiership favourites.

Sturt's passage has been similar, their toughest challenge a 5 point win over Norwood in round 3. Despite not blowing teams away, Sturt have been comfortable winners in each of their other games. The Sabres' defense has been exemplary - they held South to a 12 point first quarter, Southern to a 17 point first half and Woodville to 7 in each of the first 2 quarters. Sturt have only faced off against one team in the top 5, but have done everything required of them.

It's no surprise that Caroline Burgess is leading the way for Sturt. Against Norwood, she had 19 points and played over 39 minutes, and expect coach Paul Mesecke to place similar requirements on her for this game. Veteran Monique Bowley, who missed the first three games, returned with a vengeance last weekend, scoring 40 points at 68% across two games, and 18 year old Emma Hooley, who returned from a 2009 knee injury in time to help the Under 20 state team to a gold medal, has been impressive on the boards.

For Forestville, it's been more of the same, with Lightning guard/forward Mia Newley stamping a 38 point game against Eastern on a typically strong start to the season. Against West, Newley didn't hit the bench, and given she's likely to have the job on Bowley, may not see much of it in this game either. Forestville's backcourt of Jess Fergus, Jess Mahony and Kelsey Ireland is the best in the league, but it has been Jamie-Lee Bow who has surprised the most, contributing over 11 points and 5 rebounds a game.

In a rematch of the 2009 grand finalists between two undefeated teams, this game is a lock for "game of the round" status.
