Blake Passfield showed his Runner Up Best and Fairest in his first State
League Season with the Bombers in 2007 was no fluke by once again taking
out the R/U B & F ward for 2008. This is an outstanding result for a
young
player at only his second year at the level.
Darcie Poope
capped of a very promising debut season in the AFL QLD State
League winning
the clubs most improved award which will give the high flying
youngster
plenty of confidence going into 2009.

hat-trick Justin Myers who was in his second
season at AFL QLD State League
after playing a number of games with the
Suncoast Lions in 2007 capped of
his first full time season in the State League
with the Bombers winning the
Coaches Award. Myers is attending the AFL's
State Screening in Canberra over
the next couple of days and will go through a
rigorous testing program in
the hope to impress AFL Clubs to the point of being
drafted or Rookie
listed. The AFL's State Screening is provided to the next tier
of players
nationally not invited to the AFL Draft Camp in Melbourne.
