The Eastern Swans will head to paradise and take on the table topping Whitsunday's, at the Sea Eagles nest in Airlie Beach.
Whitsunday are coming off an impressive win over Bakers Creek in the opening round, where the Sea Eagles soared to a 5-goal lead at the first break and then went on to kick 9 goals to 2 in a damaging display of hard running, high intensity football.
The Swans led all day at Rogers oval, from start to finish against arch rivals the Mackay City Hawks and won the grand final rematch by 29-points.
This Allied Pickford's Cup, match of the round will be focused on two key match ups.
Matthew Galonski #3 (Sea Eagles) V Matthew West #9 (Swans)
Both players will play a pivotal role and need to lead from the front. Galonski and West both kicked 4-majors in the opening round and their positive influence on this match, may just decide who gets the four points.
Rhys Fuhrmann #8 (Sea Eagles) V Braden DeAngelis #1 (Swans)
Quick, agile, skilful and can push forward and kick goals. Similar to the forwards match ups, these two might not go head to head for the entire match but at some stage will face off and whichever player can provide the out-side run like they both did in the opening game will give their team the upperhand.
