SOPHISTICATED, stylish, modern and metropolitan are words best used to describe the facelift to the Harrup Park Country Club.
The multi-million dollar face lift has seen the old change rooms and canteen demolished to make way for the club's stunning The Lancaster Rooms facility.
However, the renovations were not easy.
Harrup Park general manager Michael Jones said construction workers were under the hammer to get it done.
Construction had only started in July this year.
"We were nervous because we had to have this done by (last) Friday, for the Fashion Week Streets of Style event," he said.
"We have put a fair amount of pressure on construction workers, but hands down to their credit they have done it."
The Lancaster Rooms feature a pre and main functions area, new bars, the "Snow Johnson boardroom" and an open deck that overlooks the cricket field.
The interior boasts chandeliers, white drapes, reflective glass which creates a stylish layout.
To compliment the facelift, the functions menu will alter as well. Canapes will be revised, Mr Jones said.
"We didn't want to build something that when you're getting married or you're organising an event, you have to think about all of the extra bits, like the curtains or the lighting," he said. "By doing what we have done allows us to better support our aspiration for more marquee sporting events and occasions."
"When different sports come to us and say 'we'd love for you to host a cricket match or an AFL game' we have to provide a certain amount of facilities."
Organisers of big-ticket games now demanded corporate facilities as well, he said.
"If we didn't have that, they would go else where."
Harrup Park's four-to-five million dollar facelift was officially launched last night, and is set to open up at least another ten spots for new employees, he said.
Changes?
- The Lancaster Room cost between $4-5 million
- 100 new car parks followed the upgrade
