The Gold Coast SUNS have named the “squad” to hit Mackay as part of the 2015 Australia Post AFL Community Camps, continuing the club’s ongoing efforts in Far North Queensland.
The group includes players Charlie Dixon, Jack Martin, Andrew Boston, Jarred Ellis, Peter Wright, Sean Lemmens, Aaron Hall, Luke Russell, Joshua Glenn, Andrew Raines and Tom Nicholls along with coaches Josh Fraser and Matthew Lappin.
The club will complete a number of school visits in Mackay from February 26-27, including appearances at Alligator Creek State School, Whitsunday Christian College, Mackay Northern Beaches and many more.
In partnership with AFL Queensland, the GC SUNS will also help hold a special Super Clinic for some of Mackay’s budding AFL fans. The clinic kicks off at 4pm on Thursday at Harrup Park, It’s free of charge and every one is welcome.
The group will also be holding an open training session at Harrup Park on Friday at 2:30pm followed by an autograph session.
The team opens their 2015 campaign with a NAB Challenge match against Geelong in Townsville on Sunday 1 March.
