AFL Mackay’s 2017 season is in full swing with the competition’s Pre-Season Conference held at the weekend.
Regional Manager Jeff Neumann said it was a great vibe and wonderful to have AFLQ representative Richie Lyons there.
“We had every club in attendance which points to 2017 being a really positive year,” Neumann said.
"It’s great when the entire football community can work together to make our great game, even greater!"
AFL Mackay pre-season carnival nominations are now open.
And expressions of interests for representative coaches are still needed with a number of positions available.
Neumann said it’s a unique experience for coaches to be exposed to a higher level of football.
"Representative football is not only a great experience for players to develop, but also for coaches.
“It’s a chance to pull the coaching “trigger” and work with the best of the best from various age levels,” Neumann said.
Finally, Under 18 representative trials are set to be announced, capping off a big week of football in Mackay.
“The AFL JLT community match, along with the expanding competitions has brought an exciting vibe into the start of 2017,” Regional Manager Jeff Neumann said.
