A massive four days of female football kick-starts tomorrow, when 9 school sport regions from across the State go head to head for the State Championship title.
From Thursday 19th May to Sunday 22nd May, our very Capricornia team will face off against the State's best, across an action packed 33-games of footy during the fourth 13-16years Queensland School Sport Girls State Championships, at the home of Australian Football in the Mackay region, Harrup Park Country Club.
Capricornia will kick-start their campaign in the opening match of the championships against Metro North, school girls from the Brisbane north region.
The championships will be played on the main oval, that hosted the Brisbane Lions versus St Kilda NAB Challenge match along with matches on Oval 9. AFL Queensland Regional Manager, in Mackay Jeff Neumann said it is fantastic to be able to host such a massive event.
"It has always been a key focus to bring more and more, content to the region and to assist Queensland School Sport with these Championships, is massive for our great game in the region," Regional Manager Jeff Neumann said.
"To have the 9 school sport regions come to Mackay and playing at the first class Harrup Park, is not only fantastic for our game but also the sporting community," Neumann added.
