It has been an incredible run for the Mackay Magpies women's team, which after winning the grand final against North Mackay Saints, is undefeated after two seasons.
Magpies ran out 47 point winners against a gallant but not quite good enough North Mackay team.
It was a relatively even match up to half time but a five goal to nothing third quarter was where the Magpies won the premiership.
Captain and best-on-ground Adriana "AJ" Smith said it was an amazing feeling winning their second grand final.
"Saints really gave it to us in that first half, so it was good effort from the girls, they really pushed hard and gave us that run," she said.
Smith said it was exciting to play in front of a good crowd, and see the women's game growing.
Magpies coach Pete Thiele said it had been a tough game. "It's been harder this year," he said. "I asked the girls for an increase in about 40% from last year and I reckon I got about 80%."
Thiele said after half time Magpies proved just how good they were.
