AFL Mackay are pleased to announce a squad of 44 players, that will be reduced to 23 to represent the region on Saturday 6th June at Harrup Park against Rockhampton and Townsville in the annual tri-series matches.
The AFL Mackay home and away season will be put on hold for the June long-weekend, as the best players from the Allied Pickford’s Cup and Premier Women’s get their opportunity to play representative football.
AFL Queensland Regional Manager, Jeff Neumann said he was pleased with the make-up of the squad.
“The best thing is the many different clubs, backgrounds and experience that the boys come from,” said Neumann.
“The Mackay Men’s Program is all about providing equal opportunity no matter where you live in this massive region, so it’s really pleasing to see such good representation from the country clubs.”
