The Easterns Swans have come from behind at three quarter time to record a 10-point victory over the Moranbah Bulldogs at Rogers Oval on Saturday.
Jess Healy booted two majors as the dominate forward in the match, as both sides went blow for blow in front of the sticks through out the match. The Bulldogs had their chances with both sides recording 10-scoring shots each for the round 5 encounter.
However, it was the Swans that prevailed and steadied in front of the goals to record the 6.4 (40) to 4.6 (30) victory.
In the weekend's other match the Mackay Magpies ran out 56-point winners over rookies Bakers Creek. Lisa Millard and Adriana (AJ) Smith were superb for the winning side, dominating through the midfield. Tina Hancock was a questionable and surprise in for the Magpies after only 3-weeks after knee surgery and was serviceable booting 2 majors playing out of the goal-square.
For the Tigresses captain Kelly Hegarty and Kirsty Swindells were the main contributors.
