After the recent North Queensland Championships in Airlie Beach, the regions Under 16 representative team returned winless but didn't return empty handed.
Five players from across the region were named in the 2015 Under 16 North Queensland side to contest the upcoming State Championships in Brisbane during May. Whitsunday Sea Eagle players Mat Jenkins and Rhys Fuhrmann along with Mackay City duo Riley Dreghorn and Thomas Baulch and North Mackay's Laim Byrne were all selected after standout carnivals.
All five players are a-part of 28-player squad that will travel to Brisbane's Burpengary complex from May 3rd to 8th to take on the State's best.
AFL Mackay Under 16 Representative Coach Craig Widdowson will also join the North Queensland squad as an assistant coach.
