On Saturday the Moranbah Football Club hosted 2 junior games before the Moranbah Bulldogs and Bakers Creek Tigers Seniors game.
Boys and girls from Moranbah have been playing Under 9’s and Under 11’s games at Stevenson Sports Park for the last 4 Thursday afternoons and this week was the first game that they played before the big boys.
It was a great atmosphere with players from both Moranbah and Bakers Creek watching on and a number of parents and interested spectators cheering on the boys and girls.
It was also great to see a number of the Juniors hang around after their game and support the Seniors and help on the scoreboard and run water in the warm conditions.
Adding to the great number of Moranbah based Juniors were 3 players from Clermont and 4 from Glenden that drove over an hour to have a kick.
Congratulations has to go to Moranbah stalwart Ross Branch on his organisation of the blossoming Junior Competition at The Kennel.
The Juniors will play again this Saturday before the Moranbah Bulldogs and Whitsunday Sea Eagles Seniors and then finish off their season on Saturday 24 August before the Moranbah Bulldogs and North Mackay Saints Seniors game.
