As everyone is most probably aware, the AFL National Indigenous Round for 2012 concluded two weekends ago on May, 20th.
For those who may not be aware the AFL and Rio Tinto have formed a partnership, and created a program known as the ‘Footy Means Business Program’. With 50 male Indigenous participants from all over Australia taking part in two week long camps. First, in Sydney during late November and the second, in Melbourne during the AFL’s Indigenous Round week in May.
Participants undergo high performance testing, employment, education, leadership and cultural sessions through-out the week. With seven Queensland participants attending the Melbourne camp. They are: Nathaniel Congoo (Winning Northern Captain), Christopher Jackson (Southern), Isaac Keilly (Northern), Noelan Rosser (Northern), Jayden Kynuna (Northern), Myles Kerindun (Northern) and Ben Masso (Northern).
