Eastern Swans stalwart Terry Bailey will play his 250th game in the biggest match of the year so far.
The undefeated Swans will play Mackay City Hawks, who also have a perfect record, at 2.45pm on Saturday at Rogers Oval.
Bailey, who plays in the midfield and is arguably one of the best kicks in the Allied Pickfords Cup, loves the game.
"I like the game because you meet new mates. I love the competitive side of the game and just the challenge," he said
Throughout his 19 years at the Swans, Bailey said it had been a fantastic experience.
"It's really a great atmosphere, there's a lot of camaraderie between everyone," he said.
Bailey debuted for the Swans in senior football in 1999, at just 13.
"I came from Darwin when I was nine, and ever since then I've been at the Swans," he said.
"Including junior footy, I've probably been playing for about 19 years."
Bailey, who turns 30 this year, was hopeful he still had plenty of years of footy left in him.
Narrowing down the highlights of his time in the Mackay competition was tough for the 29-year-old.
"Playing my first senior game at 13 was pretty big but you can't go past the 2009 grand final when we beat Whitsundays who were undefeated," he said.
Bailey said Saturday's game against last year's beaten grand finalists, the Hawks, should be a "cracker".
"I think everyone has been waiting for this round to come along," he said.
"We'll prepare for a really tough game like it always is against the Hawks.
"I think both teams have been looking forward to it, just to see where they're at this year.
"Hopefully we come away with the four points."
