BITS VS GLADSTONE
The BITS juggernaut continued and so did the 'Animal' massacre of opposition defences. John 'The Animal' Beirouti continued on with his domination kicking another 16 goals, taking his tally to 39 goals after just 3 games. While the younger Gladstone outfit was able to match it with the bigger Saints bodies up until half-time, it was the premiership quarter that the Saints opened the game up pouring on 8 goals, while the Mudcrabs couldn't manage a major. The Saints steamed home in the last kicking a further 9 goals.
It was not all bad news for Gladstone, with upcoming star Cameron O'Grady shining with 5 majors. Other influential players for Gladstone were Ricky Windridge, Brodie Coles and Shane Eilola. Best players for the Saints included Luke O'shea, Nick Stanley and Daniel Hunt.
Prediction: BITS by 49 points
Result: BITS by 106 points

BROTHERS VS GLENMORE
Many people would consider this an upset, but Glenmore would say otherwise. Perhaps this is the strongest sign yet that Glenmore will be the team to step-up and challenge the top teams this year.
The contest was tight from the start with Glenmore jumping out of the blocks kicking the first couple of goals before Brothers got themselves back into the contest late in the 1st quarter. Brothers stepped up their intensity in the 2nd quarter, dominating the quarter kicking 5 goals to 2, leaving the margin going into the major break just 2 points.
After the major break Glenmore come out full of run, with Brothers struggling to remain in touch. The Bulls kicked 5 goals in the premiership quarter and if it had not been for inaccurate kicking the result may have been sealed by 3 quarter time. To Brothers credit they kept coming at the Bulls, drawing within a kick during the last, however Glenmore were able to steady with the last couple of goals of the game to seal the win.
Best players included Tyson and Darcy Payne, Derek Mangan and Dylan Hooper for the Bulls, while for the Roo's David Scott, John Sleaford and Adam Williams were solid.
Prediction: Brothers by 9 points
Result: Glenmore by 24 points
Brothers' Matt Pollock takes a strong mark in the sandpit.
YEPPOON VS PANTHERS
The Swans continued the bad couple of weeks for the Panthers with a dominate display down at Swan Park. The 1st quarter was tight, but after that it went downhill for the Panthers with them only able to manage 1 more goal for the rest of the game. The water-tight Yeppoon defence gave their opponents no room to move and continually rebounded forward attacks with quick-run and accurate disposals.
The Swans big and little men were able to pour on the goals to inflict more misery on Panthers. The Swans welcomed back the influential Cameron Watkin who combined with Wes Hawke in the middle gives the Swans plenty of drive. Leeland Gribble and Daniel Watkin had a good day up forward kicking 5 and 3 goals respectively, while for Panthers Matt Ryan and Jordan Littlehales were their only multiple goal kickers with 2 each.
Other players to play well included Matt Wallin, Leigh Cossens and Sam Nicholls for Yeppoon, and Clinton Sutton and Thomas Ross for Panthers.
Prediction: Yeppoon by 73 points
Result: Yeppoon by 65 points
