BITS VS PANTHERS
If Panthers don't travel with good numbers I am expecting this one to get very ugly. BITS will have the comfort of playing at home again so the availability of shift workers shouldn't be an issue. Shutting down the BITS midfield and forward line will be the key for Panthers being competitive in this game, I don't see them being able to do this. I am expecting 'The Animal' to cut loose and the day will be full of entertaining post goal celebrations.
Prediction: BITS by 67 points
GLADSTONE VS GLENMORE
Gladstone at home are always a tough opposition and I am sure they will be itching to get out there given they were unable to play last weekend. Glenmore will have to travel well and bring their A game, if not Gladstone will jump out of the blocks and with their normally strong home crowd will be difficult to pull back.
Gladstone will look to blood several of their 2010 premiership winning U17 players. Glenmore believe they are a 'quick' side, well their leg speed will be tested against the Gladstone youth. Expect this to be a close contest all day but Gladstone coming out just in front.
Prediction: Gladstone by 23 points
YEPPOON VS BROTHERS
Saturday will be an emotional day for the Brothers Football club as they take to the field for the first time without Aiden Coulbourne. Aiden was a star last year for the Roo’s, achieving the highest individual awards with League and Club B&F and Leading Goal Kicker, culminating with an A Grade premiership. From a team structure losing a player of Aiden's quality will be hard for Brothers to replace, they have however retained the nucleus of last year's premiership team. Brothers will want to win for Aiden and show the rest of the competition that they will be a force this year.
For Yeppoon they will be looking to bounce back from a respectable showing against BITS last week. At home they are always tough opposition with a boisterous crowd usually there to support them. Both teams have quality all over the park and are well matched, this should provide an entertaining game for the crowd.
Prediction: Brothers by 17 points
