AFL U15 National Kickstart
Championships
4th April – 8th April 2012
After a successful Inaugural Championships held in 2011, AFLQ are pleased to announce the 2012 National Kickstart Championships will once again, be held on the Gold Coast.
The purpose of the championships is to:
· Showcase the skills and attributes of Australia’s best Indigenous footballers to the broader community and AFL talent scouts from across Australia
· Continue our commitment to use AFL Football as a vehicle to create education, employment, health and participation outcomes for Indigenous people throughout Australia
From the 2011 National Kickstart Championships, Queensland had three players selected in the 25 man National ‘Flying Boomerangs’ team. These players had the opportunity to tour Fiji and play in the AFL Oceania Cup Championships, during December 2011. The tour was a great experience for the players and staff, with a successful touring campaign.
