The importance of a win this weekend can't be underestimated, BROTHERS and YEPPOON will both be desperate to have the week off and guarantee themselves a spot in the Grand Final.
Whilst Brothers must enter the game as warm favourites having won 13 games in a row, Yeppoon will believe they have what it takes, particularly with the home ground advantage. During the season they met three times, Brothers winning two games to one. The results were:
ROUND 2
Yeppoon 16.19 (115) defeated Brothers 11.6 (72)
ROUND 7
Brothers 16.11 (107) defeated Yeppoon 13.12 (90)
ROUND 12
Brothers 10.7 (67) defeated Yeppoon 7.14 (56)
It will come down to whether Yeppoon has the ability to shut down the midfield of Brothers. With so much talent inside the forward line, Brothers will be impossible to stop if they get enough supply from the midfield. Wes Hawke will have to give his players first use of the ball at stoppages if they are a chance.
Expect it to be a tight game, if Yeppoon can stay close during the first three quarters their crowd may be the difference come the final term.
