BROTHERS continued their build towards finals with a comfortable 42 point win over BITS. Whilst the home side struggled to create a gap in the first half over BITS, it was a nine goal to four second half which secured the win.
Although the scoreline shows that Brothers won without too much trouble, their were plenty of positive signs for BITS. Dan Hunt and Paul Caveny continue their impressive form in the middle of the ground, whilst Adam Dickenson must be happy with the fact that they were capable to match it with Brothers at times during the game.
Dave Brady kicked four to be one of Brothers better players whilst Michael and Ethan Rose both had solid games.
PANTHERS secured their place in the finals winning their game down at Clinton Park against GLADSTONE. The Muddies poor start cost them, never managing to close the margin they allowed the Panthers to establish during the first term.
Whilst they did play dome good football at times, they were constantly playing catch up, Panthers too good to let the home team back into the contest. The Panthers had too many options in front of goals, with Dunnet 4 goals, Kaufman anf Cooper 3 each. The Muddies backs were under pressure all game, Rusty Parnaby and Adam O'Halloran battling hard all game.
In the final match of the round, YEPPOON all but ended the finals hopes of GLENMORE, crushing them by 98 points. The Bulls could manage only four goals for the game compared with the 37 scoring shots had be the Swans.
Wes Hawke led the way with a best on ground display contributing four goals, Matty Wallin also continuing his superb form he has shown this year. It was left to only handful of players at Glenmore, Toby and Tyson Payne being their best players.
