In the first game of the weekend, BITS are at home to GLENMORE. This is a must win game for both teams, if BITS drop this game then they are just about out of finals contention whilst Glenmore could find themelves out of the top four if they get beaten today.
BITS would like their chances, although they were comfortably beaten last weekend, they are a much better side at home. The Bulls were beaten by Gladstone last weekend and BITS is even a bigger ask. To match it with the home side the Bulls will have to break even in the middle of the ground. BITS is one of the best teams in the competition at running the football and will have to be stopped to be beaten.
The next game of the weekend has YEPPOON up against GLADSTONE. The Swans will be looking to bounce back after being beaten at home by Brothers last weeke and will enter the game very confident after belting the Muddies by 96 points when these sides last met.
The Muddies would need to play their best football if they are to challenge the Swans, even then it may not be enough. A lot depends on the younger players for Gladstone, they have the youngest list in the competition and if they are prepared to work for each other and not give up then they have a chance.
The final game of the round between PANTHERS and BROTHERS will be a very tough ask for the home side. Although Panthers have significantly improved in recent weeks, Brothers are the bench mark in the competition.
Brothers have such an even spread of talent across the ground that Panthers will need everyone contributing if they are to make a contest out of this one.
